Rainy and peaceful weekend
Its the end of another work week and I sit here thinking about my life and some of the situations that I am currently facing. I was meditating on how much we focus on the severity of the hardships we encounter, instead of focusing on the power of God. God is faithful and he has promised not to leave us nor forsake us. I believe that he made that promise because he knew that we'll have moments when we feel lonely, helpless and weak. He made a promise with words that comforts every heart.
God is so much bigger than anything in the world. He's more powerful than any influence. God is stronger than any burden. His love prospers amongst any care that we have. If we would just allow him to take full control of our lives, then we'll experience his true power and know for sure what he is capable of doing.
I know that God doesn't want us to worry and fret. He said so himself in his word. He reassured us that he will always provide our needs. We are important to him and because of that he spoke creation into being forming everything that we'll need before he created us. What an awesome God!
Whatever you are facing today, however big or small, God can work it out. Stop worrying. End every negative thought and allow yourself to develop positive energies. It will not be easy but you will have to incorporate patience into this new mindset. Have faith and trust in God.
I always like to mention my favourite Bible story, which is, the story of Joseph son of Israel. Joseph was hated by his brothers because of the way their father treated him well and because of the dreams he had. He probably never suspected that they hated him until he came face to face with their rage when they sold him to merchants after being persuaded not to kill him.
Imagine Joseph's state of mind at that time when he found himself in the company of complete strangers, on his way to an unknown land, not knowing when he will be released. He had just experienced his brothers unwarranted actions against him, the brothers he loved. How did Joseph feel? What did he say? What did he do? I don't know, but if I were Joseph I would've assumed that this whole scenario was a prank and my brothers would soon come to get me. After all, we've been sleeping in the same house since we were babies.
I am imagining that when the sun went down, Joseph knew for sure that he wasn't going back home. This change signified the start of a new season in his life. Despite the nature of the change, Joseph was trustworthy and hardworking. I believe Israel thought him how to be honest.
When changes occur in our lives, we have to remember our Father's teachings. God's words are the tools that we should use to take us through anything. A new week is approaching and the challenges that are to come may be less or more severe than those that occurred in the previous week. However it goes and whoever is involved, you have to be consistent with allowing God's word to be your guide. I know for sure that I wouldn't be able to face any week without God's word in me.
Below I'm going to list some scriptures that you can use to help you throughout the week.
So I end this post now hoping that you'll be encouraged just as I am. One thing I never expected when I started this ministry is that I would be encouraged by my own writings. To God be the glory!
Take some time to share and pray the "Stop Worrying" prayer below. Have an awesome weekend🤗
