Two weeks ago I bravely left my home country St. Vincent where my children reside and moved to Barbados to start university studies at the UWI. It wasn't an easy decision to make but I moved with faith as I deeply believe that God was going to do a new thing during this season. But! I feel guilty. Why? Well, its because I had to leave my children behind, all three of them :(
Since then, being in Barbados during the Covid-19 pandemic has been a very different experience than when I visited here before. I haven't been able to take part in things that once interest me like going to the Cinema, dining at a fast food restaurant, or just walking on the street without a mask on. Back home I could have done that without feeling like I was being watched but because the positive cases are rising here, I can't even step out of my bedroom without wearing one. Yikes!
But wait a minute. What about those persons who tested negative? Is that number greater or lower than the positives? Hmmm
Ok, so I'm back to blogging about me. What have I done during the past two weeks? Attending Lectures and Tutorials was mandatory, which has been very interesting so far. I had a few outings with my cousin Sonique, basically errands outings. We may have gone to KFC drive through to buy chicken that we know is not good for our health but we had it anyway because its so hard to resist. And everyday has been normal, I think.
Today I decided to start a new blog because of this new season and because I know that our life experiences serves as encouragement, motivation and inspiration for others. I want this blog to be live and not something planned and written 6 weeks prior to posting.
As I'm still thinking about the KFC chicken above, sigh, its easy to compare it to sin. To be more specific its easy to compare it to sexual sin. Just like the irresistible nature of that juicy fried chicken so is sexual sin. Although we know that its not good for us and it has its consequences, we still go for it. Sometimes we think that we're just going to enjoy a little piece (may be a few passionate kisses) but moments later we realize that we just had the whole box (everything under the sheets).
Just leave the chicken alone!
I'm always happy to have visitors at Bible Eat. I officially welcome you to my new Blog and I'll be looking forward to interacting with you. Find out how you can contact me on the Contact page. Have an awesome week and may God bless you. I'll be here again next week Sunday (God's will). Love you loads! xoxo
Share the blog, share your comments below :) P.S.; I'll edit later to add a new pic.
